THE CREW

Shift Leader

SHIFT LEADERS: Are the “go-to” people on the shift

  • A positive attitude and an inclination to smile frequently while having fun on the job!
  • Ability to work minimum 32 hours per week with weekend availability
  • Min. 1 year previous customer service experience—any industry
  • Min. 1 year previous supervisory experience in a restaurant/cafe
  • Excellent work history and references: a background check is required

Counter Servers

SERVERS: Are our Tour Guides

  • Friendly, warm, and gracious greetings to all customers
  • A smile and continuous eye contact throughout the transaction
  • Prompt, efficient, and competent service with a sense of urgency
  • Attentive, listening carefully to the customer, answering questions in a manner that helps educate the customers about our products and services
Runner

RUNNERS: Are the Crew Link

  • The Link between Line, Counter, Bussers, and Customers, interacting with all to maintain a smooth flow of service
  • Friendly, warm, and gracious greetings to all customers
  • Deliver food to tables and provide follow up service
  • Pre-busses tables, offers refills and desserts
Busser

BUSSERS: Keep our customers comfortable

  • Friendly, warm, and gracious greetings to all customers
  • Clear tables promptly and efficiently
  • Provide follow up service, such as refills and other requests
  • Maintain restrooms, refill station and bus stations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room
Line Cook

LINE COOKS: Are Part of “The Show”

  • Friendly, warm, and gracious greetings to all customers
  • Prepare menu items and present products according to our standards
  • Produce orders efficiently, accurately, on time, with minimal waste
  • Fresh food, always rotated, always portioned, always exceptional
  • Bring team spirit to working with Servers, Bussers and Runners
Garde Manger

GARDE MANGER (PREP): Is the gatekeeper for quality product

  • Friendly, prompt, service and support to the Line Cooks
  • Prep products according to Flying Star Cafe standards
  • Handle product efficiently and accurately, avoiding waste & spoilage
  • Know all aspects of line food prepping requirements; including all procedures, possible pitfalls, (including prepping for specials)
  • Assist cooks on the line during peak meal times
Dishwasher

DISHWASHERS: Keep us clean & organized

  • Friendly, prompt, service and support to the Line & Counter
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in the dish area
  • Provide the Counter and Kitchen with clean dishware and utensils in a
     timely manner.
  • Store dishware and utensils in the appropriate places.
